Titans Take Tight Tangle
The New York Titans overcame a good performance by St. Louis catcher Hunter Begley to knock off St. Louis, 10-9, at Polo Grounds II. Begley was 5 for 5 with a double and 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reliever David Panther picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Frank Hubert took the loss. St. Louis drops to 0-6.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New York first baseman Jeremy Ruzicka, facing Frank Hubert, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Titans the 10-9 win.

"This place was rockin'," said Ruzicka.
