Testaverde Blasts Kings, Lobster Take Game 1, 14-10
|
The Maine Lobster defeated the Baltimore Kings, 14-10, in Game 1 of the Divisional Series. A big contributor was designated hitter Jacob Testaverde, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The win moves Maine into a 1-0 lead in the series.
Maine used the hitting of Carlos Sosa to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lobster on top, 14-5. For the game, Sosa had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Maine manager Matthew McExpos.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at AT&T Park in Baltimore.
