Chicago Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
A strong performance from pitcher Yahya Kanoro was not enough for the Portland Dragons, who were stopped by the visiting Chicago Phantoms, 3-1, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. The Phantoms never truly figured out the left-handed Kanoro, who threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Still, the Phantoms now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Had Ron Jollymour not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Jollymour hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Phantoms.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Chicago manager Sam J.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Foster Field in Chicago.
