Divisional Series Game 1 Victory for Kruppenbacher and Chicago
The Chicago Phantoms started the Divisional Series in dominant fashion, blowing out the visiting Portland Dragons at Foster Field by a score of 10-2 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Phantoms right-hander Craig Kruppenbacher turned in a fine performance. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs.

Kenny Leek drew 2 walks in 2 trips to the plate against the Dragons. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Chicago in front, 3-2.

"Craig was dictating to their hitters," said Chicago manager Sam J.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Foster Field in Chicago.
