In a low-scoring contest between the San Francisco Friars and the Las Vegas Aces, Salvatore Pino was the X factor. The San Francisco right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Getting the save was Tom Valine, his 1st. The Friars, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Making an impact for San Francisco was left fielder Sean Oehlert. He drilled a double off Salomé Sieuve in the bottom of the third. For the game, Oehlert went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs.
