The Tucson Toros beat the St. Louis Gaedels, 6-3, at Veeck Park. Tucson first baseman Kenzaburo Nagai banged out 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Tucson reliever Giichiro Mishima picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Andres Anguiano was saddled with the loss. With the win, Tucson goes to 23-32, while the Gaedels fall to 32-24.

Tucson took a 4-2 lead on Jesus Munoz's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Munoz hit in the top of the seventh, left St. Louis pitcher Tso-i Mak visibly frustrated.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said St. Louis skipper Mak Dolnick.
