AT&T Park hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The Baltimore Kings wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Stuart Stephenson, falling, 1-0, to the Washington Senators at AT&T Park. Julio Mendoza locked down his 12th save.

It could have been a different outcome for Washington, had it not been for Scott Flynn, the 29-year old third baseman . Flynn contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Washington up, 1-0.

Afterward, Senators manager Josh Cooan was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."

Washington is now 25-30.
