8-5 Loss Extends Seattle Losing Streak
The Chicago Phantoms trumped the Seattle Arrows, 8-5, at Power Ballpark. Chicago designated hitter Luis Cortes was terrific. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Abdi Bitok was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Zapien. The Phantoms improved their record to 28-27 by beating Seattle.

Chicago went up, 8-4, on Jin-young Choe's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Choe hit in the top of the seventh, left Seattle pitcher Justin Blankenhorn muttering to himself.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Seattle skipper Dr. Jay Siber.
