The Buffalo Rangers rode a solid performance from 32-year-old starting pitcher Carl Rodda to a win, beating the Maine Lobster, 5-0, at Bison Stadium. The Rangers win now puts them at 32-22.

Matty Hrinko had a big 2-run double for the Rangers in the bottom of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a splitter from John Liberty, who finished 4th in the WC in ERA with 2.80 in 2079, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 3-0.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Rodda.
