Vikings Victorious at Cincinnati, 5-2
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Minneapolis Vikings and Cincinnati Twins.
The Minneapolis Vikings topped the Cincinnati Twins, 5-2, with shortstop Omar Ozoa playing a big role. Ozoa was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Vikings in the win. Zee-loo Kim finished to wrap up his 11th save.
Minneapolis used the hitting of Marvin Jackson to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Vikings on top, 3-1. For the game, Jackson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Ozoa.
The win elevated the Vikings to 28-26.
