San Francisco Pastes Las Vegas, 19-2
San Francisco laid the wood on Las Vegas at Staples Field.

A 6-RBI performance from the two-time All-Star Gabe Castro helped the San Francisco Friars beat the Las Vegas Aces, 19-2. Sal Mejia, the winning pitcher, is now 5-2. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 1.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Castro hit a 3-run home run off Yolber Ajete. It propelled the Friars into the lead, 4-1.

Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian called the pummeling "nothing to write home about."

With the win, San Francisco has a record of 23-32. Las Vegas falls to 32-23.
