Spectres Send Havana Home with 6-1 Loss
|
Good production from third baseman Vincent Horvers helped the Philadelphia Spectres topple the Havana Metropolitanos, 6-1. Horvers was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Spectres. The victory gives Philadelphia a record of 28-25.
Horvers had a key at-bat for Philadelphia in the top of the first. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and gave Philadelphia an early 1-0 lead.
"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Horvers.
