Alberto Vasquez pitched well, but his team, the Brooklyn Browns, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Buffalo Rangers at Bison Stadium. Buffalo, at 34-20, sits in first place in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.

Keiji Kawashima had a big run-scoring double for the Rangers in the bottom of the second inning. With Buffalo leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Alberto Vasquez, who is tied for 4th in the EC with a 1.04 WHIP, and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 2-0.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Kawashima told the Buffalo Herald.
