Senators Lose Versus Baltimore, 9-1
|
The Washington Senators and Baltimore Kings delighted fans at AT&T Park.
Washington had no answer for 11-year veteran Jordan Oliva. The Baltimore Kings starter stymied Senators hitters, helping the Kings cruise to victory, 9-1. Baltimore is now 27-27.
Harold Wicks, who is tied for 4th in the EC with a .410 on-base percentage, chipped in a 2-run home run for Baltimore in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"For the most part, I didn't think they knew what was coming," said Oliva.
