The Miami Cyclones got their 2083 Rising Star League season off to a good start, defeating the Seattle Arrows, 8-7. Adam Adamski set the pace. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Bill Lawson came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tarou Deguchi in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Garrett Gutierrez to win the game for Miami. The home crowd went nuts.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Miami manager Chris Stephan.
