Greens Suffer 4-0 Road Loss
|
Miami turned a good effort from starter Jeremy Fitch into a win over the Boston Greens at Kroger Stadium. The Cyclones won the game, 4-0. Fitch yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-5. Getting the save was Nestor Fajardo, his 5th.
In the bottom of the third, Chris Hodges delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Miami first baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Cyclones in front, 4-0.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Hodges told a Miami Bulletin reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
The Cyclones move to 24-29 with the win, while the Greens drop to 26-27.
