The Havana Metropolitanos beat the Miami Cyclones, 4-2. Havana pitcher and Vallejo, California, native Bobby Alkire led the way. The winning pitcher was Alkire, now 4-3. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Josh Trejo picked up the save for Havana, his 11th of the year.
Heriberto Lopez had a direct impact on the outcome. Lopez contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Havana up, 3-0.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Alkire.
The Metropolitanos improved to 23-31.
