Seattle Stopped, 8-3, by Houston
The home crowd had a good time watching the Seattle Arrows and Houston Aquas get after it.

The Houston Aquas beat the Seattle Arrows, 8-3, at Tesoro Stadium. Joe Amaya, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Jose Barragan picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Su-shun Nie, who finished 3rd in the WC in wins with 17 in 2073, took the loss.

Craig Lightsey, who is a two-time All-Star, helped out the Houston cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the second baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Enjoyed this one," Amaya told the Houston Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

With the win, the Aquas are 17-36.
