Spectres Pick Up 4-3 Win Over Brooklyn
|
The Brooklyn Browns were defeated, 4-3, by the Philadelphia Spectres at Brown Town, even though Alberto Vasquez pitched well for Brooklyn. Jeong Lee was the winner. He's now 3-3. The loser was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Alberto Vasquez. Alberto Zamora was called on to finish, recording his 11th save.
Orly Basantes had a direct impact on the outcome. Basantes contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Philadelphia up, 4-1.
After the game, Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
Their 22-31 record puts the Spectres 4th in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division.
