The bat of Leonilde Tigre helped the Minneapolis Vikings top the Houston Aquas, 8-5. Tigre went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Minneapolis. The second-place Aquas now sit at 29-24.
An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Vikings catcher Dante Cuadra hit a sinker from Yadisniel Saez for a 2-run single. Just like that, Minneapolis was up, 3-2.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Tigre. "But I have better dreams after a win."
