Down to Defeat Go Spectres, 4-2
|
Shaun Chugh, who is tied for 7th in the EC in quality starts with 6, had a strong outing for the Boston Greens against the Philadelphia Spectres at Arrington Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. In 5.1 innings, Chugh surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Boston occupies third place in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division at 25-26.
Matt Steinruck had a big 2-run home run for the Greens in the bottom of the third inning. With Boston leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from Tony Madena, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2079 draft, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Greens ahead, 4-1.
"Shaun gave us a huge shot in the arm," said Boston manager Matt Glazer.
