Buffalo Dispatched, 5-4, by Miami
|
Though he had a terrific game, Cole Hickey could not prevent his team, the Buffalo Rangers, from absorbing a loss. Miami won the game, 5-4. Hickey went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Taju Fuhuoh snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 1.2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. By defeating Buffalo, the last-place Cyclones improved to 21-30.
Miami took a 4-2 lead on Alonzo Armijo's 11th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Armijo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher She Wang visibly frustrated.
"Winning never gets dull," said Armijo.
