Stars Earn 6-3 Win Against Friars
|
San Francisco got a big-time effort from pitcher Filiberto Ciriaco, but it wasn't enough to keep the Los Angeles Stars from winning the game, 6-3. Ciriaco threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. With the loss, San Francisco is 2-4.
The decisive blow was delivered by Kamakana Aniani in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a grand slam home run off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Drum to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place was rockin'," said Aniani.
