Seattle Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Vancouver Wolves and the Seattle Arrows, pitcher Vito Pels was the difference between victory and defeat. The Vancouver left-hander earned kudos in the 3-0 Wolves win. Tien-kai Ec locked down his 2nd save. Vancouver is now 21-31, Seattle 27-25.
The Wolves had to work out of trouble with no one out in the top of the eighth. The score was 3-0, Vancouver. But Seattle, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, had mounted a threat. Shane Hirsh dug in at the plate. But on a 2-2 changeup, Hirsh lined out.
