Washington Nets 5-4 Win Versus Arrows

The Senators grabbed a win, 5-4, at Power Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Mark Kubina. Kubina went 0 innings and allowed no runs. Washington reliever Josh Breaux picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Jason Petruska absorbed the loss. The save went to Xiong Loh, his 2nd this season.
Danny Mrazek, who is tied for 3rd in the EC in hits with 68, helped out the Washington cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Mrazek told the Washington Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
The Senators now have a record of 25-27.
