Roscoe Spins Gem for San Francisco
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Francisco Friars and Vancouver Wolves.

George Roscoe never let Vancouver get something going. The San Francisco left-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Friars to a 4-1 win. Chris Mayea was called on to finish, recording his 10th save.

Roscoe, who was born in Farnborough, England, threw 83 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.

"George just settled in and did what he does," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt.

The third-place Wolves now sit at 83-79.
