Friars Go Down to Defeat, 6-3
The Vancouver Wolves picked up a win at Fox-Chong Park, taking down the San Francisco Friars, 6-3. Starting pitcher Li-hong Ho was a big reason why. Joe Drum finished to wrap up his 19th save. Vancouver goes to 83-78, San Francisco to 88-73.

John Sauve had a big 2-run double for the Wolves in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Vancouver leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Alonzo and swatted a double to center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolves ahead, 5-1.

"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Sauve. "It eases the tension."
