The Santiago Avispas picked up a win at Estadio Guillermón Moncada, dropping the Havana Metropolitanos, 4-2. Julius Miller, who is tied for 6th in the EC in innings pitched with 69.1, was the difference-maker. Chris Knarr was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. The defeat makes Havana 31-20.

Santiago took a 2-1 lead on Dustin Siepker's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Siepker hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Havana pitcher Benito Cossutta visibly frustrated.

"I thought we competed really well," said Avispas manager Jacob Pauly. "I thought the energy was really good."
