Victory Over Harfangs Takes Buffalo to 32-19
The Buffalo Rangers picked up a win at Mount Royal Park, dropping the Montreal Harfangs, 4-0. Pablo Alvarez, who finished 4th in the WC in wins with 15 in 2077, was the difference-maker. Alvarez, now 4-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Picking up his 1st save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Joe Mellott.

Buffalo took a 2-0 lead on Cole Hickey's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hickey hit in the top of the eighth, left Montreal pitcher Jose Garay visibly frustrated.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Hickey told the Buffalo Herald. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."

The first-place Rangers sport a record of 32-19.
