The San Diego Destroyers got a strong performance from pitcher Keaton Bozek, who stymied the Portland offense en route to a win, 7-0, at Portland Park. San Diego is now 83-77.

San Diego used a well-timed hit by Edgar Malhado to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Destroyers ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said San Diego skipper Steve Alstadt.
