A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the St. Louis Gaedels and Minneapolis Vikings.

The timely hitting of Neosbel Benavides helped the St. Louis Gaedels down the Minneapolis Vikings, 9-3. Benavides went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Gaedels. With the win, St. Louis pushed its record to 25-25.

Early in the game, Benavides had a 2-run home run for St. Louis. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Gaedels on top, 2-0.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said St. Louis manager Mak Dolnick.
