Salomão Capucho did a number on the Titans in the 8-3 Cincinnati victory -- and the number was 5. The Twins designated hitter banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Polo Grounds II to lead his club past the New York Titans.

"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

Salomão Capucho hit a two-run home run off Gil Eckenroth in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
