Phantoms Absorb 7-4 Home Loss
|
Spirited fans greeted the Chicago Phantoms for their clash with the Las Vegas Aces.
The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Chicago Phantoms, 7-4, at Foster Field. Leading the charge for Las Vegas was catcher Allen Braun. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Jimmy Hsia finished to wrap up his 23rd save.
Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Tan Tsung to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Aces on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Tsung. "And not try to do too much."
The Aces go to 87-72, putting them second in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.
