Win Makes Montreal 89-70
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Montreal Harfangs and the Santiago Avispas, pitcher Craig Kruppenbacher was the difference between victory and defeat. The Montreal right-hander earned kudos in the 2-1 Harfangs win. Getting the save was Mayor Pardo, his 3rd. Montreal currently is in second place in the Eastern Conference Paul Pagac Division at 89-70.
The Harfangs got a big at-bat from left fielder Jose Gonzales. For the game, Gonzales was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 24th home run of the season gave Montreal a 2-0 lead.
"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Gonzales.
