The Buffalo Rangers were defeated, 3-2, by the Toronto Juggernauts at Bison Stadium, even though Al Joly pitched well for Buffalo. The winning pitcher was Carl Rodda. He tossed 94 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Ignacio Noriega finished to wrap up his 37th save.

Toronto used a clutch at-bat from Victor Verdugo to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Juggernauts ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
