Greens Fall Short at Brooklyn, 2-1
|
The Boston Greens got a superb performance from pitcher Ryan Lloyd. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Brooklyn. The Browns won the game, 2-1. Lloyd threw 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball. Brooklyn is 4th in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division with a record of 73-82.
Sem Vreke was the walk-off hero for Brooklyn. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Browns right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Vreke said in his postgame press conference.
