Late Rally by Juggernauts Locks Up 4-3 Win
|
The Toronto Juggernauts did just enough to sneak past the Havana Metropolitanos, 4-3, at Estadio Latinoamericano. Toronto pitcher Fisko Loera, in particular, had a standout performance. Ignacio Noriega recorded the save, his 3rd. The win puts Toronto at 4-2.
Had Yin-ti Huan not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Huan hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Juggernauts.
Huan attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
