The Brooklyn Browns picked up a win at Brown Town, dropping the Boston Greens, 4-1. Vince Tozier, who is tied for 6th in the EC in innings pitched with 198.0, was the difference-maker. Brooklyn now sports a record of 72-82.

Jack Bird had a big 2-run home run for the Browns in the bottom of the first inning. With Brooklyn leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Javy Alejo and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Browns on top, 4-0.

Bird called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
