Nieto, Wolves March to 15-4 Victory

Behind a fine performance from Danny Nieto, the Vancouver Wolves knocked off the Chicago Phantoms, 15-4. Nieto went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for the Wolves. The win hiked the Vancouver record to 78-76.
In the bottom of the third, Vancouver left fielder Mark Kubina had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Kubina stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 5-2, Vancouver. For the game, he went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Vancouver manager Zach Meinen.
