The San Francisco Friars cut down the Phoenix Thunderbirds by the score of 5-3 in 14 innings. Much of the credit went to left fielder Sean Oehlert. Oehlert went 4 for 6 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI for the Friars. The last-place Friars hiked their record to 21-30.

Had Oehlert not come through in the top of the 14th, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Oehlert hit a 2-run single. The Friars took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.

"It's a good feeling when you fight so hard and win," said Friars manager Erich Weatherholt.
