The New York Titans withstood a fine game by Maine designated hitter Jacob Testaverde at Ballpark of Portland, to upend the Lobster, 5-3. Testaverde went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win gives New York a record of 3-3.

DeMario Natividad came through with a big-time hit for New York. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Natividad told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
