Friars Stick Kodiaks with 2-1 Loss
|
The San Francisco Friars scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Alaska Kodiaks at Staples Field. San Francisco pitcher Filiberto Ciriaco held his own in the contest. Ciriaco, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. With this game in the books, San Francisco is 22-28, Alaska 24-26.
San Francisco took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Rod Inzunza hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Friars.
