The Kansas City Athletics soundly defeated the Las Vegas Aces, 11-3, at Ballpark of Missouri. D.J. Trigg, who finished 5th in the WC in OPS with .939 in 2078, let his bat do the talking. He was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for Kansas City. The win makes Kansas City 28-22.
With Kansas City leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Trigg hit a changeup from Yolber Ajete for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Athletics ahead, 5-0.
"Things kind of got away from us," said Las Vegas skipper Justin Coroian.
