Tony Anaya was terrific for the San Diego Destroyers in his team's 4-0 triumph over the New York Titans. His performance earned Anaya rave reviews. The last-place Destroyers hiked their record to 20-29.

Lan-quing Qiu, who is tied for 7th in the WC with a .329 batting average, aided the San Diego cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Anaya said.
