Toros Come Back Late to Clip Kings
Aetna Stadium played host to some real drama.

The Tucson Toros besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Baltimore first baseman Harold Wicks by beating the Kings, 7-6, at Aetna Stadium. Wicks was 2-4 with 2 home runs. Miguel Moquete, who is a two-time All-Star, picked up the win in relief. Nestor Cantu took the loss for Baltimore.

The decisive blow was delivered by Martyn Gheldere in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Nestor Cantu to win the game for Tucson. The home crowd went nuts.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Gheldere told the Tucson Times.

The Toros saw their record improve to 21-28.
