The Santiago Avispas picked up a win at Estadio Guillermón Moncada, knocking off the Buffalo Rangers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Susumu Shibuya played a key role in the triumph. Picking up his 3rd save was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Knarr. Santiago, at 26-22, holds down second place in the Eastern Conference Paul Pagac Division.

Brandon Nofziger was 1 for 3 with a walk for Santiago. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Jose Nereida. It was his 33rd hit of the season.

Nofziger attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
