The Seattle Arrows had to overcome a big game from Portland designated hitter Jairo Cedillo to leave Portland Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Cedillo was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Dave Fife earned the save, his 2nd, for the Arrows. The loss drops Portland to 3-3.

Jordan Alvarez had a big run-scoring double for the Arrows in the top of the sixth inning. With Seattle leading 4-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 35-year old left-handed pitcher Abel Downey and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Arrows ahead, 5-1.

Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
