The Greens faced a stiff challenge from Toronto pitcher Daniel Taylor, but persevered to claim a win at Arrington Park. The final score was 2-1. Taylor went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Boston reliever Jim Lawrence was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-1. Ignacio Noriega took the loss for Toronto. The setback makes Toronto 18-29.

Boston got a knockout punch from Danny Sifontes. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Sifontes.
