Chinea Hits 2 Roundtrippers, Kings Win, 5-3
|
The Baltimore Kings topped the Tucson Toros, 5-3, the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Koji Chinea. On the day, Chinea belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Kings. The save was credited to Victor Balaguer, his 4th. By defeating Tucson, the second-place Kings improved to 24-24.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Francisco Mateus? The Baltimore center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Kings on top, 4-2. For the game, Mateus had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We did enough to win," said Chinea.
