Glaciers Take Down Aquas, 6-4
|
The Denver Glaciers picked up a win at Tesoro Stadium, taking down the Houston Aquas, 6-4. Starting pitcher Kyle Cordle was a big reason why. Cordle, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. The Glaciers improved to 17-32.
Chris Eighmy, who finished 5th in the WC in OPS with .940 in 2084, chipped in a solo home run for Denver in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Eighmy.
