The Minneapolis Vikings rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Kwang-sik Nho to a win, beating the Tucson Toros, 3-2, at Aetna Stadium. Torvald Bakker picked up the save, his 1st. Minneapolis now has a record of 3-3.

The Vikings got a big at-bat from third baseman Javy Trinidad. For the game, Trinidad went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-0 lead.

Nho called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
