Wolves Rally to Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Vancouver pitcher Jarrod Beckman was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win in 10 innings. Vancouver reliever Cody Goings picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Zee-loo Kim took the loss. Getting the save was Manny Arango, his 1st.
Vancouver used a timely hit from Per Fronteira to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Wolves ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Good ballgame," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan. "But we came up on the short end."
The 4th-place Wolves hiked their record to 25-23.
