Kings Score 9-3 Win Over Athletics
The Baltimore Kings picked up a win at AT&T Park, knocking off the Kansas City Athletics, 9-3. Starting pitcher Cruz Vaquez played a key role in the triumph. The win puts the Kings at 23-24, while the Athletics drop to 28-19.

Fernando Martinez had a big 2-run double for the Kings in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Baltimore leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Arturo Covarrubias, who finished 3rd in the WC in strikeouts with 196 in 2081, and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kings ahead, 4-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Martinez.
